Using structural biology to investigate ubiquitin-mediated signalling pathways

We investigate how cellular signalling pathways are regulated by post-translational modifications such as ubiquitination. Ubiquitination regulates nearly all cellular functions and is achieved by attachment of the small protein ubiquitin to a wide variety of substrates. Our main focus is to understand how ubiquitin regulates inflammation and how dysregulation leads to disease.
